I grew up with a shame-based view of God. Will this trigger that?

No. And that's by design. We deliberately built this book on a God-through-the-lens-of-Jesus theology. We don't present a God who's angry, distant, disappointed, or keeping score. We present the God that Jesus revealed — a Father who is good, present, and genuinely delighted in your child. If you grew up hearing "God is watching you" as a threat, this book rewrites that as an invitation: God sees you, and He loves what He sees.
